Chinese Dance
For me, Chinese dance is more than performance—it’s a bridge between past and present. Each movement connects me to centuries of culture while inviting others to share in that heritage. It is both my root and my reach.



Through my Dunhuang Dance piece, I channeled the imagery of murals and Buddhist culture from China’s Silk Road. This style blends fluid movements with iconic poses inspired by Dunhuang frescoes. Performing it gave me confidence in the richness of my country’s culture and allowed me to share that beauty with modern audiences.

As lead dancer, I performed a contemporary piece exploring history’s flow—how past events and cultures shape the present. Using fluid movements and dynamic shifts, the performance premiered at our school Arts Festival, engaging audiences with its emotional storytelling and reflection on tradition and change.
I led our troupe in a Chinese classical dance inspired by the rise and fall of ginkgo leaves, weaving beauty and impermanence into flowing sleeves, elegant turns, and poised gestures that echo court-dance traditions. Through structured training and one-on-one support, I helped my teammates grow, while my solo passage captured the fleeting grace at the heart of the piece.

I performed a classical Chinese dance portraying Sun Wukong, the legendary Monkey King from Chinese novels. Incorporating the traditional lingzi (feathered headpiece) as a prop, I embodied his boldness and heroic spirit. The piece was showcased at a Nation-level exhibition, blending theatricality with refined movement to bring the iconic character vividly to life.
Chinese classical Dance: 《醉清波》 (Zui Qing Bo) This classical Chinese dance blends elegance and strength, requiring mastery of intricate technical movements alongside expressive artistry. I spent months practicing its challenging turns, extensions, and jumps, pushing me to grow in resilience, precision, and depth as a dancer.

I dove into K-pop, street, and jazz, drawn to their energy and freedom. The dynamic movements and strong rhythms challenged me, letting me explore diversity in style and discover a new sense of strength and self-expression.

The Last Chance


I created The Last Chance as an experimental dance film that translates my struggles with OCD into movement. Using projections, red threads, and a minimalist studio setting, I turned abstract symptoms into something tangible. Paired with a custom piano track and professional voiceovers, the piece reached both sufferers and non-sufferers, opening new channels of recognition and empathy.The project extended into a week-long exhibition and a 30-person workshop where I invited audiences to engage with OCD awareness through art. This experience showed me how dance can serve as both diagnosis and treatment — a bridge between suffering and understanding.
Drama & Choreography
In Cao Yu’s Thunderstorm, I portrayed Fan Yi while also choreographing dance sequences for characters Zhou Ping and Si Feng. Our performances spanned from a school drama festival to a public ticketed show at Hangzhou Canal Grand Ship Theater. We directed ticket revenue to fund programs for underprivileged students, ensuring accessibility to theater arts. Through this role, I learned how performance can be both artistic expression and social impact.

In this tragic love story, I choreographed the dance sequences that represented the painful push and pull between two lovers — one facing severe illness and the other refusing to leave. The movement expressed companionship at the edge of despair, blending physicality with emotional storytelling. This play won First Prize at the 4th Tianyuan National Drama Festival for Primary and Secondary Schools.
Short Film
I play one of the lead actors in a tense short film about three dancers whose tight-knit group unravels under the pressure of inner competition. When one dancer is hurt by another, I vow to avenge, but my plan spirals out of control and an attempt at retaliation becomes a tragic accident that severely injures the dancer. Guilt and shock replace the fierce ambition that once burned between us. In the end, we all ache for the simpler days when rehearsals were filled with laughter and peaceful camaraderie, realizing too late how fragile trust can be.
